On May 28th the Oakley Grom Games hit Manchester’s Chill Factore. Now in its second year, over 140 freeskiers and snowboarders (with some snow rats as young as seven!) showed up to ensure top quality riding and good friendly vibes a plenty.

The event’s creator and chief organiser Pat Sharples was on the mic, the Red Bull DJs were in charge of  tunes. And Katie Ormerod was busy bossing the Red Bull rail. According to Pat, “Katie Ormerod, who looks destined for greatness, was a total standout and stole the boys thunder with her super smooth style and front flips off the raised Red Bull rail.” She won the Snowboard category with freeski star in the making Katie Summerhayes taking the freeski crown.
