Lakey Peterson, one of the standout stars of Nike 6.0’s all-girls surf film Leave a Message, won the US Open of Surfing Junior Title at Huntingdon Beach, California on Saturday.

She beat a classy ass field including fellow Leave a Message stars Coco Ho, Laura Enever and Malia Manuel. And you can watch Lakey here as part of the US Open of Surfing day eight highlights, which also give you a sense of the scale of this monster contest. And, if that wasn’t enough, she made it to the Senior Women’s Final, though she met her match in ASP Women’s World Tour runner-up Sally Fitzgibbons.
