An introduction to winter backcountry touring, designed by women for women, aiming to inspire and encourage those who want to challenge themselves to reach their full potential and meet like-minded individuals.
So far the official statements, which sounds more than just inspiring if you ask us, and it just gets better if you read on. In it’s third year now and led by some of the best female mountain guides in Europe, the Scott Mission Wow Backcountry Touring Camp will introduce you to the premier league of mountain riding: backcountry touring. Which is the most amazing feeling of pure joy and freedom you can ever experience (at least if you ask us) but also one of the scariest and most dangerous, if you’re not sure what you’re doing.
This guided journey to the L’Hospice du Grand-St-Bernard from March 30th to April 1st, a 10th century monastery founded by St Bernard to give shelter to traders passing over the col, is the perfect start if you consider tapping into this exciting side of the mountains. The only requirements are good general fitness, effective turns off-piste, for snowboarders some splitboard experience and for all a hunger for adventure! All necessary safety equipment as well as Scott touring skis and skins will be available to borrow.
