Becca Allen’s winter recap… enjoy!
So now I am cycling to work in a dress and checking I have factor 30 on my face before I leave the house. It was only last Friday I was searching manically for my beanie and leaving the heating on through the night. The transition from winter to summer in Innsbruck is anything but subtle and although I am soaking up this amazing weather, this mix and match winter/summer deal it keeps giving me is playing havoc on my throat and skin.
So with all this sunshine comes the urge to take photos at every given opportunity, that’s when I realised I had maxed out my iPhone and going through deleting the past six months is a great reminder of how randomly excellent this winter has been.
Starting with October and an unforgettable trip to Gördalen in north Sweden with the Rhythm family to shoot our winter catalogue, followed with the move to a new country and piles of snow to take in, a new job, new friends and surroundings. Hikes to gigantic open lakes, forest adventures, flea markets, my first ISPO experience of which only half is rememberable due to the excess amounts of moonshine.
So with great memories I say “goodbye to winter, I look forward to seeing you again at the end of the year” but until then I am working my way through my ever expanding sunglasses collection…
