We weren’t too chuffed about skate shoes becoming a high-fashion trend (and thus giving style columnists an excuse to use the word ‘gnarly’ – stop it guys). But then Vans sent us some pictures of their new, awesome slip-ons and we have to admit, they gave us a fuzzy feeling inside.
The Checkerboard original still has pride of place, but now it’s joined by metallic and perforated siblings. There’s even some snakeskin beauties made of premium leather, due out later this month. We approve.
Some of the range is already available, and new deliveries will be hitting www.vans.com and Vans stores throughout August and September.
