After another victory of surf wonder Steph Gilmore at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, the race for the ASP Women’s World Title continues in New Zealand next weekend.
The TSB Bank Women’s Surf Festival is the third stop of and will showcase the best of women’s surfing on the iconic breaks of New Zealand from April 10-18, 2010. And to guarantee that the event will turn out a full blown success, they got big industry endorsement with Billabong joining the event as a platinum sponsor. The week-long festival begins with the New Zealand Women’s Open on day one and is then followed by a six-day contest window for the U21 Australasian Girl’s Pro Junior and the Women’s World Tour event featuring the world’s top 17 surfers.
Be curious if local surfer and Billabong team member Paige Hareb, who is currently sitting in World No 3 can play her home field advantage or if Steph will cement her lead even further.
