Starting December 22nd, the Crystal Ground snowpark in Kleinwalsertal is heading for its second season. Located next to the ‘Kesslerlift’ in Riezlern the park is presenting itself with new innovation and perfectly in shape. After a very successful first season, that exceeded all expectations and provided a lot of fun and action for the regional snowboard- and freeskiscene, the park has developed in quality and quantity and comes up with a new larger layout.
Beginning this season, Crystal Ground snowpark is proud to present the new park sponsors: Quiksilver, Roxy and Rossignol. With their support, new attractive obstacles have been bought and will be added to the park setup. As a result, Crystal Ground will be providing three rail lines (Easy Line, Public Line and Advanced Public Line) as well as a nice kicker line.
Easy Line:
- box 4m long
- rainbow 4m long
- a-frame 4m long
- straightrail 4m long
Public Line:
- straightbox 6m long
- kinkedbox 6m long
- wavebox 6m long
- wallride 6m wide
Advanced Public Line:
- downrail 9m long
- highrail 6m long
- a-framebox 9m long
- curvebox 9m long
Kicker Line:
- 2 rollers with each 2 launches of 4m and 8m
- 1 roller with a 6m launch
But the crystal ground team decided not only to invest what is on the snow, but also IN the snow. This is why the park will be equiped with its first own snow lance. From now on they can be sure to provide perfect snow conditions during the whole season. Freshly prepared every day, the snowpark will be at the snowboarder’s and freeskier’s command for no charge.
Another new addition is the Crystal Ground Team, which consists of three riders: the snowboarder Andi Fritz and freeskiers Andi Mathies and Dejan Pasic. They are managed and trained by park manager Clemens Paul. These guys have their homebase in the Kleinwalsertal region and are going to run the contest-action from now on. The riders are supported by the local Crystal Ground shop, which is located next to the snowpark and endorsed by the brands Quiksilver (software) and Rossignol (hardware).
Some great events will be taking place in the snowpark this season. The kick-off event of Burton all Girls Camp, hosted by the Olympic champion Nicola Thost will be taking place on Crystal Ground in February. Other highlights will be the Opening Jam, the legendary Iron Night as well as some other local events. All actual events, dates and news can be found fast on www.crystalground.com!
