On the 12th March the Scott Contessa Team are heading over to Dalby Forest to run a series of long and short bike rides and test sessions alongside the team at Purple Mountain.
The Scott Contessa Team are a group of female riders of mix ages and bike skills who compete in Mountain Bike, Road and Cyclo-Cross racing. Riding is all about fun and taking in the trails – there’s no chip timing or league tables!
With 50 miles of varied trails, from expert to beginner, Dalby Forest on the edge of the North York Moors is the home of the UCI World Cup XC Race and a known destination for keen riders.
Purple Mountain are based here and their knowledgeable female guides will be on hand to take you round the trails without the worry of getting lost! On the day, you’ll also get the chance to try out the latest 2011 range of hardtail and full suspension Scott Mountain bikes.

Gabby Day are part of the Scott Contessa Team and will be there to give you advice on bikes that will best suit your riding style.
They’ll be riding alongside the Purple Mountain guides so sign up in advance to make sure you secure a place on the day, as numbers are limited.
RIDE AND TEST LOOP DETAILS
Longer rides begin at 10am and 1pm.
These will be 1.5 – 2 hours long, taking in the best of the local terrain and aimed at intermediate level riders.
For those wanting to test out the different bikes, there’s the Scott Test Loop that will run from 10am.
Each loop will be guided and last half an hour.
Lunch discounts will be available for those that sign up in advance.
