There are many comparisons that can be made between climbing and practicing yoga, and because of this they're two activities that compliment each other brilliantly.

While so many other sports only use a few muscle groups, these two are both amazing for stretching out your whole body and getting all your muscle groups moving. This is why we think that a camp that includes both is a brilliant idea.

YoGarda, based in Arco, Italy this September, is a three day yoga and climbing retreat that focuses on progressing your climbing skills while showing you the gorgeous surroundings around Lake Garda. Teacher Anna Kathalina will lead the group through four yoga sessions tailored to prepare you body and mind for two half days of guided climbing with the professional alpine guides Move Into Nature.

"On Friday night, you’ll be welcomed with an arrival yoga session to stretch out your limbs from your journey to Arco and set the vibe for the weekend. Afterwards we’ll treat you to some delicious traditional Italian pizza that you can enjoy next to a crackling bonfire" say the team behind this awesome camp.

"Saturday will start off with a healthy and nutritious breakfast buffet just outside your tent before we’re picked up by the alpine school, who will guide us to the best spots for new and seasoned climbers. Learn the ropes or hone your skills with the expertise of professional mountain guides that operate in small groups with a maximum of 6 people."

"Stretch out in a relaxed yoga class, aimed to cool you down and unwind your muscles. You can then either enjoy some free time, explore the area or join us for a “Pasta Night Out" in one of the local restaurant"

We put our skills to practice on one of the many “Klettersteigs" of the area on the Sunday" says the team. "You’ll be warmed up and stretched out by a final climbing-specific yoga session."
