From vans to horse boxes, you can turn anything into a mobile home these days. As long as you have a working vehicle and a little imagination, even the most bizarre motors can be turned into a adventure lover's home away from home.
One couple from Grimsby saw the potential for a rolling home, where no one else would. When they found an old Stagecoach bus from their local area on Ebay, they decided to purchase it and give it a new life.
Tom Grantham and his partner, Kay Barnes, bought the old bus online for £1,200 in service condition and set about turning it into a dream vanlife motor to travel with their young family.
"The couple are now selling the bus back on eBay with a starting bid of £8,000"
Spending £10,000 refitting it for travel, they serviced the engine, painted the outside and fitted the inside, putting in three double beds, a little kitchen, shower, toilet and even a log fire, before decorating the whole of the interior to look like the perfect country home.
"Kay and I were looking for a motorhome and saw the bus and thought, 'Why not?' says Tom. "It has been perfect for family holidays."
The couple have taken their three children, aged eight, seven and three, across the UK as well as France and Belgium in and the refurbished number 51 bus, but are now selling the bus to a lucky new owner.
If you fancy having your own bus to live in and travel the world like these guys, but you don't fancy putting a year of work into making one, you could still buy this renovated bus for yourself.
The couple are now selling the bus back on eBay with a starting bid of £8,000. The auction ends today though, so if you fancy travelling the world Stagecoach style, you'd better getting bidding now!
