We’re serious fans of the Van Life. You, your van, your board and the open road, is there anything better?
Well apparently, yes…
The guys at SeaLander have decided that the open road is not enough, they want the open sea as well, designing a camper that turns into a boat.
The amphibious little vehicle can be used as a home on the road, as well as a chill out pad on the water.
The nifty little van looks like a cross between a VW and a retro caravan.
Made of a monocoque shell of reinforced fibreglass laminate, it weighs 1,100 pounds and is towable by heavier vehicles.

When you want to go for a sail, simply fit on it’s long pin motor and float away, gazing through your tinted panoramic windows.
When you want to go for a swim, the top folds down and you have your own polished stainless steel swim ladder, to climb your way down.
As well as all of the above, the van also has its own audio system, LED lighting, onboard barbecue, shower, sink and toilet….
While this all sounds very fancy, like something out of an episode of Entourage… we’re not convinced.
Living in luxury might be fun of a few weeks, but in the end just give us our beat up Transporter and our surfboards back. That’s what van life is really about….
