Did You Know There’s Going To Be An Elevator To The Top Of Mt Everest By 2019?

Now we can all have the once in a lifetime experience!

Want to experience the top of Mount Everest but don’t think you’re up to the climb?

Turns out you’re not alone…

Take in the awesome view, but skip the life threatening danger of the climb

Plans are now underway to install an industrial lift within the famous mountain to take visitors safely to the top of the world’s tallest mountain – without enduring the dangerous climb to the summit.

Global engineering corporation Summit Peaks have had their plans approved by the Nepalese government to install the elevator – which will rise 3,484m – from 2019.

The plan, as shown in the picture above, is to create a 5km tunnel from base camp, leading directly to the centre of the mountain.

The lift, which will be installed up through the centre, will take 15 people per journey, transporting them to the top within 45 minutes.

We can’t wait to be able to spend a weekend chilling on top of Everest

The plan has been met with mixed reaction from Everest climbers, worried about the influx of people at the peak of the mountain.

Early pre-booking tickets for a journey to the famous peak have not yet been officially released. However, interest in the lift is already off the scale.

We can’t wait to be able to spend a weekend chilling on top of Everest before getting back home for work on Monday!
