This Photographer Just Proposed To His Girlfriend Under The Northern Lights And The Pictures Are So Amazing….

Best place in the world to pop the question? We think so!

We’ve seen a lot of outdoorsy proposals here at Cooler, from proposals while downhill longboarding, to popping the question in the ocean and on the beach. This proposal however, is more spectacular than all of the others put together.

Dale Sharpe’s met girlfriend Karlie Russell through their joint love of photography, travel and adventure. Travelling the world together, they’ve recorded their relationship together all over the planet.

Last week, Dale added a big photo to their relationship album, when he asked Russel to marry him under the Northern Lights.

The Arctic Circle is special for both of them and they had already visited it about 30 times

“I hadn’t heard or seen anyone do it before, and I wanted to do something different from everybody else,” says Dale. “We both love chasing the Northern Lights and photographing them together, so it seemed pretty fitting.”

Setting up his camera, Dale asked for a photo together in front of the lights, before then going down on one knee.

“As engagement photos go, we think this is the most incredible we’ve ever seen!”

‘It was the most amazing display of colour in the Aurora that we’ve ever seen,’ he says.

‘I wanted to take full opportunity and make it happen at its absolute best. The moment was right, it felt good, so why not.’

As engagement photos go, we think this is the most incredible we’ve ever seen and the rest of the world clearly agrees, as the shot has racked up thousands of likes on Facebook since it was posted.

Good luck to Dale and Karlie in their wedding and marriage, if this is your engagement photo we can’t wait to see the photos from the big day!!
