Maria Smith has won a week on an Xtreme Gene wake camp, worth £440, or 660 euros. The prize includes six nights’ catered accommodation (not dinner), and three to four sessions a day on the water, with instruction, plus free use of equipment. Flights and transfers not included.
Wakeboarding is the world’s fastest growing watersport, and if you’ve ever tried it, you’ll know why. The sport has a steep learning curve and is super-versatile: you can rip it up on the flat, get massive air off the wakes, and nail the rails and kickers in the park. So what are you waiting for? Get on board with a fast-track wake camp week at Xtreme Gene in Spain, Europe’s number one wakeboard destination.
The club is set on a beautiful lake, surrounded by national park, next to the picturesque and lively town of Almodovar del Rio, an hour from Seville. On a wake camp week, you’ll have intensive sessions with resident Spanish coach Andres Alijo, with likely appearances from guest pros Matt Crowhurst or Robbie Rendo, one of the world’s best women riders. Off the water, you can chill at the bar, play volleyball, go mountain biking or sightseeing. Accommodation is in lakeside cabins, or you can stay in a local hotel or villa.
If you’re not the lucky winner, contact 0034 957 635 437 or xtreme-gene.com to book your spot, and turn to p86 of our Spring issue to see our ‘wakeboard special’.
