Snowman

It's that time of year again – Christmas decorations, early sunsets and a chill in the air. It all means one thing: we can finally get excited about winter!

France received its first major snowfall just the other day, so we thought, what better time than now to compile a list of all (well, some of) the white stuff that's fallen so far?

So put on a woolly jumper, grab a hot drink and peruse our gallery of stoke-inducing shots!

Osstirol

It's all kicking off snow-wise in Austria at the moment, so much so that this photographer was going ski touring! Time for an early season trip, maybe...?

Avoriaz

There's always that super keen person who braves rocks and grass to go shredding at the first sign of snow - this is where the Chapelle Park in Avoriaz will be come December.

Fuji

Mount Fuji is boasting more snow than Japan's most well known ski area, Niseko, at the moment. Fuji is home to two ski resorts; Fujiten and Snow Town Yeti and provides the people of Tokyo with all their winter sports needs.

It's no surprise that Whitsler already has snow up on the glacier. The resort can open as early as mid-November, so watch this space!

Sugarloaf

The sight that every snow lover wants to wake up to in October. The traditionally cold and icy east coast of the US looks like it's in for a good winter along with the rest of the country!

Saas Fe

Saas Fee is currently open for business! Actually, in this picture it's on standby, but the high winds make for a pretty impressive picture.

Hopefully it clears up soon so Olympian Emma Dahlstrom can go skiing!

Hintertux

Nine Queens rider and executor of THAT rodeo 7, Slovakian Zuzana Stromkova has been hanging out in the Zillertal Vallley recently.

This is just a snippet of the park on Hintertux Glacier - it'll be around until December for some early season shredding.

2LA

Les Deux Alpes opened it's glacier this week for the French half term, and their park looks sick! The resort will be opening properly for winter at the beginning of December.
