They originally started their road trip as a casual two-day holiday, but a dramatic twist leaves them with blood on their hands, fleeing from the police.

OK, so they are murderers. However, we like the fact that it shows women – in all their flaws – as the central characters.

Critic Raina Lipsitz called it “the last great film about women” – and she’s right. We need more characters like Thelma and Louise.
