Luskentyre Beach is located one of the most far north-westerly points on the United Kingdom – on the Isle of Harris.

Tucked deep in the Outer Hebrides, this white sand bay is so beautiful, you might not want to leave.

We pitched our tent in the sand dunes behind this beach, but there is a campsite just behind the dunes which is probably a better bet. Wind, rain and sand aren’t a great camping combination.

Why is it so amazing?

If you thought white sand beaches and turquoise seas were only reserved for tropical islands in the Pacific, you are very much mistaken.
