What Do Real Female Footballers Look Like? These Photos Show The Badass Stars Of Tomorrow

"We hope they remind women to be a little bolder, tougher and ultimately really proud of who they are"

Last week, the 2015 Women’s World Cup kicked off with 24 teams battling it out in Canada to win the ultimate trophy in women’s football.

In order to commemorate this, clothing company Wildfang have teamed up with photographer/mother/athlete Andrea Corradini to take 14 portraits of young football players between the ages of 5 and 14.

They’ve called it #GameFace, because it captures “their most authentic moment, right before they stepped out onto the pitch.”

“We hope they remind [women] to be a little bolder and tougher and ultimately be really proud of being who they are,” Wildfang CEO Emma McIlroy told The Huffington Post. “Our hope is these images leave you feeling inspired to go kick ass in your day.”
