Ten years ago at Glastonbury after a few too many ciders, a group of friends decided to give the whole festival thing a go for themselves.

They came up with the idea of “a field somewhere, a marquee and a couple of DJs”.

Troyfest, now set in a country mansion, is a testament that not all outlandish drunken plans should be forgotten.

People who go to this festival tend to become instant converts and have returned year after year as Troy has slowly gone from one of the country’s smallest events to a real festival destination of the summer.

We think the line up for this year is totally off the scale with Mr. Scruff, Molotov Jukebox, Too Many T’s, DJ Moneyshot, By The Rivers, Smerin’s Antisocial Club and Big Swing Soundsystem attending, just name a few.
