After arriving in Wanaka the first night, me and the girls (my crew Lea Baumschlager, Isabell Salzmann, Sabrina Cakmakli and Trine Dalberg Jorgensen) went on a little hike to the lake, which was close to our house. And we were rewarded with this stunning view [photo above]  – Lake Wanaka!

This was the breakfast view on nice days. Sun in your face, good müsli and coffee were always a brilliant start, amping you for the whole day.

Shredden in Snowpark NZ! The park was in great shape so I spent most of the time on the jib and the medium kicker line, just to get the feeling of park riding back. I even learned some new things in the rails and got some airtime too. Especially off the big booters on the good days.

The afternoons are great to spend over a coffee or with some ice cream at Kai Wakapai. While watching the sunset on the beac, these trees start to glow…! NZ is just full of amazing views, I’m so stoked!

When I wasn’t too tired after riding, fitness is part of skiing too! Stretching, going for a run down at Lake Wanaka or a TRX Session at home.

There was even a boat in the garage of our house! Lucky us. We took it out on a little tour a couple of times when the weather was nice.

Caribbean waters! Not quite…freezing cold.

The wonderfully wild west coast! We took a day trip over the pass through the jungle to the sea.

The Blue Pools…. unbelievably clear water! And a real artsy photo…

Jackson Bay…. Jungle, wild sea and rocks.

Euan Baxter took this sequence of a 360 of me – good to see for analyzing all the stuff you’re still doing wrong… It’s still summer after all… well almost at least…
