A lot of people, us included, thought you should have won the halfpipe [Whitelines thought you won the whole Olympics!] What’s your take on what went down?

Unfortunately it’s not black and white and judged sports will always be subjective. But there were lots of suspicious judging calls in my eyes. The judging was all over the place.

You seemed to speak out more than you’ve done in the past, is this a new Torah we’re seeing or was it just the media in Winter Olympics mode making comments seem a bigger deal than they actually were? 

I’ve always been outspoken. My mother would tell you that! Haha unfortunately the media sensationalises what you give them. I support the young kids and their needs and sometimes you get stuck in the middle. And sometimes it is hard to have snowboarding as part of the Olympics with all the crazy rules they place on our sports for that two week period.
