The place dreams are made of and the only way to start such a list. California has an abundance of cruisable areas, in fact it’s probably where the term was invented. From Santa Cruz to Long Beach, we selected San Diego as the top spot, why? Because longboarder and local, Jen Smith says so: “I’m from Pacific Beach in San Diego and that has to be one of the cruisiest skate towns ever. You can get almost anywhere you need to go on a skateboard, from home to the beach to the grocery store… The boardwalk goes for about 4 miles right on the beach. Also there is a skate park that is near the beach on the San Diego river.” Erm, sold!
