Hundreds of women made it down to Fistral Beach in Newquay last Saturday to catch the Surf Betty’s Festival.

Founded by professional surfer Corinne Evans, it is one of the only festivals in the UK solely dedicated to celebrating female surfing.

The day was packed with a competition to design your own surfboard, massages, manicures from Sambora Beach Toes for a bargain price of £3, plus surf lessons and beach yoga sessions. Everyone was taking part – aged six to 60!

Despite the rainy start, it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Overall the day managed to raise an amazing £800 for cancer charity Keep A Breast.
