Stoked as we were on the live show of the insane Nitro Circus Crew with Travis Pastrana and our former cover girl Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins, we had to check out the 3D version of their movie as well...

Last year the circus came to town, as Nitro Circus Live paraded its way through 7 countries, pitching up for 13 stops around Europe. The crew rolling down the DC gigant-a-ramp to thrill crowds all over Europe, pulling backflips to bails, stunts to slides, this was a once-in-a-lifetime show to witness. But before we knew it, the greatest stunt show on earth had rolled in and rolled off the continent, leaving behind a wake of stunned faces and taking with them a bruise or two. The live show has always been the ultimate aim for the Nitro crew, with their sights set on Vegas from the start. But wait! Flashback to the days before Nitro Circus Live was made possible… We headed to check out Nitro Circus The Movie 3D!
Nitro Circus, what a rad equation. Take 30 of the greatest stunt-people on earth, combine them together to form a gang, let them loose in the world with a load of gadgets plus motors and brains packed with dangerous ideas… and well what do you get? Insane madness and the greatest stunts ever seen, that’s what! Fun was always the aim and that’s how the idea for Nitro Circus came together back in 2003 when it was founded by Travis Pastrana, Gregg Godfrey and Jeremy Rawle. Since then it’s enjoyed a rapid rise in global popularity, partnering with MTV in 2009 to create a smash-hit show leading onto the big screen, of which we sat in-front of last night to see it in full 3D glory. The Nitro team taking on the big wide world, un-constricted by the walls of a stadium. But before the projectionist pressed play, the lucky guests at the O2 London screening (of which we were at), were first treated to a successful world record-breaking attempt of 16 motorcyclists simultaneously back-flipping in front of our eyes. Minds blown, eyes wide, we then headed straight to the cinema to see what the Nitro Circus crew does with a lot of toys, disposable dollars and the world as their playground….
The dimension do it justice, Nitro Circus 3D is the perfect balance between entertainment and action. The movie treated us to a full 80 minutes of stunts from everyone on their diverse team, whether they liked it or not. From way up high on a Panama skyscraper ramp to flipping brilliant with a 7 rotational car flip, we could hardly control our heart rate! Jolene (a.k.a. the first women ever to backflip a dirtbike) represented as the only official lady in the crew. She was the first to attempt a loop-the loop on a mini trike and landed. Right on! But ssshhh, we’re not going to give any more away, just take this as a recommendation of radness, madness and bad-ass-ness. Where Jackass is set up to fail, Nitro Circus always aims to succeed and once again Pastrana & Co, you hit the target!
Nitro Circus 3D will be available to own on 3D Blu-Ray and DVD on March 25th 2013 on nitrocircusthemovie.com
