The Bulgarian girls skate surf and snowboard collective Wild Berries only love one thing more than riding their boards: sharing their stoke with like minded females and aspiring future berries. So last week, they held a little workshop to introduce girls of all ages and backgrounds to longboarding. And they wouldn’t be called “wild” it that was just any other worktshop….

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire….
Last week we had a little longboard workshop on the top of the trade center in Sofia. Most of the girls that came tried longboarding for the first time and needed some help in the beginning. So we kicked off with some technical instructions and a bit of “girls talk” about differences in the length of the decks etc and some dance moves. And by the end of the day, they were all cruising around by themselves…
Some of the ladies came to improve their skills and get some instructions for hand slides. I injured myself a couple of weeks ago so currently only have the opportunity to be an instructor and ride like this…
But we all enjoy the afternoon very much and had great fun as we don’t get the opportunity to shred around the roof of a building in the center of the town everyday!
