First to hit the big screen is Australis: An Artic Ski Odyssey, a film shot in the Antartic Peninsula when a small team discover the beauty of ski mountaineering. Lead by Chris Davenport the team fulfil their dreams by exploring more than just the ‘tip of the iceberg’. As they search for virgin territory to find the ultimate ski line they take on mountains, glaciers and icy seawaters to be rewarded with couloirs, natural ski ramps and 45-degree descents. With sightings of an Orca, penguins, seals, albatross, dolphins and petrels the film is a true mission of discovery filmed in one of the most beautiful locations in the world.

If you prefer your adrenalin rush to come in the form of two wheels then why not check out Follow Me, a film dedicated to the life of mountain biking. The film features downhillers, freeriders and slopestylers all sending the message that ‘no one rides alone’. It focuses more about riding with friends, pushing the limits and most importantly having fun. Learn anything from the basics through to riding bike trails, parks, road trips and heli drops with a host of riders just willing you to get off the couch and get on your bike.

But attempting the 2,000-foot wall of Half Dome, El Captain the greatest free solo ever attempted, finally teaches Alex the meaning of fear.  This award-winning short film Alone On The Wall, is just one in a series entitled First Ascent putting you at the forefront of groundbreaking adventure.
