Only a few days left until the summit meeting of many well-known artists of the sub and boardsport culture takes place in the Kleinwalsertal, the northeastern part of Vorarlberg. From 12th Dec to 19th Dec 2009 there will be exhibitions, live performances, video premieres, workshops and parties that you can really look forward to!
One of the youngest protagonists of this year´s exhibition is the 20 year old Maximilian Lanzl, who will present his designs in the Walserhaus. With their current Snowboard edition Libtech brings art onto their boards – with designs of Jamie Lynn and others.
Pawel Kozlowski aka Swanski, born 1980 in Warsaw/Poland, has not only created animations for MTV and VH-1, but also 70 graphics for skateboard companies from all over the world. His illustrations have been published in magazines such as Blond and Lowdown.
The kind support of the Bergbahnen DAS HÖCHSTE – Kleinwalsertal/Oberstdorf enables Guenter and Daniel Rauch to install their snow sculptures in the Kanzelwand and Walmendingerhorn areas.
ARt on Snow in a different style – in the form of a massive setup of 15 000 m3 of snow is planned for the x-ops.mobi Friends Invitational presented by Elias Elhardt and Friedl May. Up to now we had to wait for white gold from the sky and furthermore the foehn did not allow the production of artificial snow. But nevertheless we want to raise this stunning kicker and satisfy the popular cast of riders. For this reason the Big Air Contest taking place in the Kanzelwand ski-field will be postponed from 18th Dec 2009 to 6th March 2010.
Untouched by the weather Dieter Funk from FUNK FOOD sun glasses will present wearable art: On the first weekend exhibiting artists will design a model of the latest FUNK FOOD collection. The best layout will be chosen and in 2010 it will be produced in a very limited edition of only 33 pieces worldwide. Let´s see what bright designs the artists will put onto the glasses.
But Dieter Funk is not only the connecting element between stylish accessories and art. The master of turntables is getting active at the ARt On Party. Together with the Hot Cheese Crew Music Squad he will put the heat on the spectators in the Tanzbar in the Casino Kleinwalsertal on the 12th Dec 2009.
The ARt Of(f) Party on the 19th Dec 2009 will also be celebrated in an adequate manner: The evening will commence with two snowboard movie premieres: the Oberahoora Productions show Dedication and the brand new film of the Pirate Movie Production Jolly Roger will be on screen. After that DJ Delta Paul and DJ Tigerstyle will raise the roof of the Walserhaus.
As you can see it will be a very busy week coming up in the Kleinwalsertal.
