Burton Snowboards and the Chill Foundation are hosting a golf tournament to raise funds for disadvantaged youth.
WHO: Burton Snowboards will host the annual Chill Foundation Golf Tournament. Founded by Burton in 1995, The Chill Foundation provides programs and opportunities for at-risk inner city youth, ages 10 to 18 by introducing them to snowboarding and teaching them life lessons and skills, which profoundly impact their lives. Guests include athletes, Keir Dillon, Jussi Oksanen, Molly Aguirre, Dave Downing, Benji Weatherley and Ben Garner. Actors include, Sam Page (Shark), Josh Henderson (Desperate Housewives), Gary Valentine (King of Queens) and more celeb names to come.
WHAT: Professional snowboarders, surfers and celebrities tee off to an afternoon of golf, contests and beverage holes and an evening dinner at Club 19.

ABOUT CHILL: Chill is in its 13th year as a nonprofit learn-to-snowboard program for at-risk inner-city kids. Each winter, in 14 different cities across North America, Chill takes 170 kids to the slopes once a week for six weeks and provides them with everything they need to learn to ride: lift tickets, lessons, transportation, and head-to-toe gear. Chill uses the vehicle of snowboarding to help kids accomplish goals they never thought they could, while teaching them some of the most important lessons of life— patience, persistence, responsibility, courage, integrity, and pride—all through positive adult role models who treat the kids with respect and encouragement.
