From 14-17 February 2008, the top athletes representing the extreme sports of skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, speed-riding and BASE-jumping will be in Chamonix to compete in the Nissan Outdoor Games film and photo competition.

The winter games will host about sixty atheletes, photographers and film-makers from Europe and the USA to take part in the competition; their challenge being to shoot and edit a 5-minute film and 20 pictures, and must include a series of BASE jumping, paragliding, mountaineering, skiing and snowboarding.

There are no-holds-barred to the level of creativity… anything goes! The films will be judged on their photography, screenplay and the performance of the riders and the winner will be elected by a jury. With Mont Blanc in the background, the atheletes have the perfect backdrop to pull off some serious big moves and show off their flair.

As well as sporting entertainment, there will also be interactive fun in the ‘Games Village’, including a climbing wall, concerts and giant screen televisions, plus the opportunity to get your crampons out and indulge in some ice climbing!

Admire some of the most amazing flying stunts of the paragliders, speedriders and BASE-jumpers within beautiful surroundings, then venture along to the apres-ski show, to see the athletes on stage having their films pitted against each other, and of course see the presentation of the ‘Golden Peak’ award, for the winner of the competition.
