Girl BMXers want spot at X Games (and we think they should get it)

You let Moto X in now it's our turn dammit!

Women’s snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding (street and vert) and moto x all star at the X Games (hell they even had inline skating for a while!) but women’s BMX is still shut out of the medal party.

The X Games has been rolling since 1995, and when in 2008 women’s moto x was added to the line up, Rick Alessandri the MD of the franchise said, “We are committed to expanding the female participation at this world-class event, and the women’s moto-cross circuit demonstrates unbelievable talent deserving recognition on the X Games stage.”

So BMXers quite rightly think the same should apply to their sport, especially considering the sick progress that has been going on in the last few years. Riders including Holly Bendall from the UK (who featured in Cooler last year), Camilla Harambour from Argentina, Angie Marino from New York, Kayley Ashworth from the UK (who all features in the current issue of Cooler) are all ready to ride so come on X Games head honchos what you waiting for?
