The Gul Open 2008, part of the UK Pro Surf Tour Summer Series, will be kicking off at Porthmeor on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August.

With men’s and ladies open categories right through to the grommets, the event offers the opportunity to expose some of the UK surfing scene’s best raw talent.

Gul have recognised that the female surfing scene in the UK is on fire. Over the past decade, female surfing has grown and grown and now the UK scene produces some of the best surfers in Europe. Riders including Sarah Bentley, Holly Donnelley, Joanne Dennison and Gul team rider Beth Mason will be battling it out at the top of the UK PST scoreboard, carving out powerful turns and pushing the limits.

Head to Porthmeor on the 30th and 31st of August to spot some of the best talent on the British surfing scene.
