The London Premiere of the new ChunkyKnit girls snowboard film Last Winter takes place at the Metro Ski & Snowboard Show, Olympia on Friday 20th October from 5pm ’til 6pm in the Retro Retox Bar in the Boardroom. Please turn up in good time as entry to the premiere is on a first come first served basis.
Last Winter is all about last winter – a collection of snowboard adventures from around the world! This isn’t your usual rider section film. This is the ChunkyKnit girls inviting you to be part of their experiences from last winter.
Produced not only by the usual ChunkyKnit crew but also the riders themselves, Last Winter includes a Romanian mountain hut trip, snowboarding in Scotland, a bad weather trip to Japan and lots of world class riding footage and other stories.
Packaged in a beautiful Super Jewel case with cardboard sleeve and booklet, Last Winter has a running time of 40 minutes plus DVD extras from their sponsors and friends.
Featuring: Kjersti Buaas, Jenny Jones, Lisa Filzmoser, Erin Valverde, Tina Birbaum, Manuela Pesko, Lesley McKenna and lots of other new faces.
Following the premiere, the stars of the film will hold a signing session at the Snowboard Club UK stand. Come along to buy your copy of Last Winter and meet ChunkyKnit riders Jenny Jones, Kjersti Buaas, Tina Birbaum, Lesley McKenna, Zoe Smalley, Kathi Gappmayr and Lisa Filzmoser.
Following the premiere, there’ll be a party in The Settle Down on Kensington High Street and help us celebrate the Snowboard Club UK’s 2nd birthday from 9pm till 3am, in association with the Metro Ski and Snowboard Show.
Last Winter will be playing and cranking beats will be supplied courtesy of DJ’s Dom Harrington, Dumb & Bass, Tony B, Decoy and headed up by XFM’s resident expert on rap & hip-hop and one of the UK’s best club DJs, Dan Greenpeace.
The first 400 folk through the doors will get a free Red Bull & Finlandia Vodka, and for those wishing to expand their palate beyond the conventional pint of lager, Red Bull will be offering their new fusion cocktail menu and Bacardi will be on hand with drinks.
And the good times don’t stop there, as every ticket holder will gain automatic entry into the SCUK Birthday Bash Prize Draw. As well as the chance to win a pair of Limited Edition Torah Bright goggles from Roxy, there will lots of other great prizes from Santa Cruz, Whitelines, SCUK, Footprint and ChunkyKnit.
