Okay, LA isn’t exactly around the corner and we would normally never encourage anyone to burn tons of kerosine without an explicit reason, but this exhibit of LeRoy Grannis at M+B in LA from July 14-30th is definitely worth it. As the “godfather of surf photography” as The New York Times called him, documented the Golden Age of Surfing—the Sixties and Seventies—and was the first to capture the purity, soul and lifestyle of a seminal moment in American cultural history.
