Linn Haug wins Pipe Quali at O’Neill Evolution 2011

While we were busy posting the first schedule and news this morning, the O’Neill Evolution fully kicked off with the Women’s Pipe qualifiers and 37 shred hungry girls battling it out under a wonderful winter sun.

Eight spots to participate in the semi finals on Wednesday and ride side by side with the likes of Kjersti Buaas or Silvia Mittermüller were up for grabs and Norwegian Linn Haug bagged the pole, thanks top her FS 5 Mc Twist. But also French lasses Clémence Grimal and Anne-Sophie Pellissier impressed the judges and came in second and third, while the rest of the spots were taken by Mirabelle Thovex (FRA), Elena Könz (SUI), Akiko Miwa (JPN), Helen Nadig (SUI) and Silje Norendal (NOR).
