The Ski and Snowboard Show returns to London Olympia from 21st – 25th October, with a host of new show features, including over ten tonnes of real snow, après Ski entertainment and a credit crunching ticket offer, with entry costing less than un Grand Bier dans Les Alps*.
For the first time, visitors will be able to access all areas of the winter sports spectacle from as little as £5 when buying tickets for the opening day. So, whether you’re a St Moritz seasonaire, a Val d’Isere virgin, or just looking for an exciting family day out, the Ski and Snowboard Show is your winter wonderland of choice this October.
London Gets Snowed In:
Winter will be starting in October this year as the Metro Ski and Snowboard Show and Dare2b will be bringing ten tonnes of real snow to London. Start warming up your throwing arm for target practice and make the record books as the Metro Ski and Snowboard Show tries for a Guinness World Record for the world’s biggest indoor snowball fight.
Apres-ski Snowbombing Style:
Making its UK premiere, join Snowbombing’s Street Party on Friday 23rd October as Snowbombing takes over the Zillertal Après Ski Bar. Snowbombing has been called the greatest festival on snow and will be bringing its unique vibe to the London with music from top DJs TBX and the Loose Cannons. Fancy dress optional is but prepare for a banging Austrian fest!
Hang Time:
At the centre of this year’s show will be the legendary Trespass Big Air Competition 50ft kicker, where visitors can watch the crème de la crème perform gravity defying tricks. With the Winter Olympics just around the corner, the show will showcase some of the world’s best skiers and riders including Sam Cullum, Sparrow Knox and Jack Shackleton as they battle it out for big air in the British Snow Tour Championship and the London Ride competition. Olympic hopeful Ben Kilner will be showing he’s got what it takes to win a medal and X Games Gold Medallist Jenny Jones will also be on hand to offer tips and advice throughout the show.
Chill-axing:
A new word for a new area of the show! The Zillertal Après Ski bar comes to the 2009 Metro Ski and Snowboard show, allowing visitors to chill and relax in style, soaking up an Alpine vibe in the heart of London Town. The legendary gigloo – a gig in an igloo – is also back. Okoru will be transforming the gigolo into a winter themed alpine stage with a wealth of talent including music guest DJ slots from XFM, live DJs sets from Urban Knights and others and the Altitude Festival ensuring side-splitting sessions peppered between stunning VJ sets.
Getting away from it all:

Taking a spin:
From snow to ice – the rink returns, but this time it’s a whopping 150m2. So get your skates on and gracefully glide your way round the BA Avis Ice Rink- London’s first ice rink of the year.
Board Riders Heaven
Taste the powder and enjoy your first off piste run of the season with some inspirational talks, films and guidance from mountain experts. You can also check out the latest snowboarding gear as core snowboard brands showcase their 09/10 kit and give visitors the opportunit to talk to professionals about how to choose the right board and essential equipment.
