Protest Jib-Vid 2007 is Ready for Action

All the teams are accounted for, the snow has finally arrived last week and the Protest Jib-Vid 2007 is locked, loaded and ready for action.

The team line up is looking like:

This year DJ Square 1 is back to entertain the crowds in the Melting Pot on projection night after a blistering performance for Joey Driscall who has come all the way over from New York to share his sounds. Funky Salad will be dropping the beats in the Couloir Bar as well as local Danny Delta and in addition the Couloir Bar will also be bringing in a top surprise act to blow some minds.

The Prize Breakdown:

1st place team: 2250 euros + 3 Sony Viao laptops

2nd place team: 1500 euros

3rd place team: 750 euros

4th place team: 450 euros

5th place team: 300 euros

Other film awards:

Best trick in the Jib-Vid films – awarded to an individual competitor.

Most creativity – team prize

Best editing – team prize

Best camera work – team prize

Most stoked film – team prize

There will also be on-the-spot cash giveaways in the Tignes snowpark on the Wednesday afternoon for a best trick session.

Sunday 18th March

3-6pm – team registration, The Couloir Bar, Val Claret

9pm – DJ set, the Couloir Bar, Val Claret

Monday 19th March – Snowpark Open for riding

3-6pm – team registration, The Couloir Bar, Val Claret

6pm – Rider meeting, The Couloir Bar, Val Claret

9pm – DJ set, The Couloir Bar, Val Claret

Tuesday 20th March

9.30-10am – pick up event arm bands in Tignes snowpark

10am – The Protest Jib-Vid starts

9pm – DJ set, the Couloir Bar, Val Claret

Wednesday 21st March

Midday – Protest Jib-Vid ends – all Jib-Vid’s handed in to organisers in the Tignes snowpark.

1-4pm – Best Trick contest in the Tignes snowpark

6.30pm –Rider meal, Couloir Bar, Val Claret

8pm – Doors open, Melting Pot, Val Claret

9pm – Film projection and judging, Melting Pot

11pm-4am – Protest Jib-Vid party, Melting Pot

NB: preliminary programme – subject to change

Its going to be a banger so if you are around try to make it over to Tignes for the sessions in the park or the film projection and almighty Protest Jib-Vid party which is going to Rock Tignes.
