Review of Nixon ART MOSH in London

Nixon ART MOSH, the watch brand’s travelling show celebrating a smorgasbord of emerging creative talent, landed in London on Thursday 25 November. And here’s what went down…

The philosophy of ART MOSH is to showcase a feast of creative talents under one roof, in one-off ‘Pop-Up’ events in major cities. London ART MOSH transcended the traditional barriers between different media, by exhibiting photography, painting, design, illustration and prints in an eclectic exhibition.

One of the highlights of the exhibition was the introduction of digital artists such as Andreas Muller and Thomas Traum which was a first and shows the progression of the ART MOSH concept. British artist Richie Culver exhibited with illustrator Sophie Stevens, launching his ‘Monsters’ project, which also involved collaborations with Eliot Sumner of ‘I Blame Coco’ and Robbie Furze of The Big Pink.

Supported by internationally renowned brand Nixon, in partnership with Clash Magazine, ART MOSH London attracted a cool crowd of collectors, artists, and personalities from the media, art, fashion and music worlds providing them ample opportunity to network.

Nixon supports emerging and established talent in the fields of art and music, and unites artists and production team with the common goal of creating energetic ‘Pop Up’ exhibitions.

The temporary exhibition also showcased items from Nixon’s exclusive LTD Collection and was accompanied by live music from pioneering names in dance music alongside local and international DJs such as Ashley Beedle, Andy Bell, Arveene, Jamie Skillz, J Saintil, Clash Magazine DJ’s and singer Liam Bailey. Liquid inspiration came from vodka Babicka, Tiger Beer, fine Italian wine from Sfuso and Vitamin Water.

A future Nixon ART MOSH event is scheduled for Munich in Spring 2011, for the unlucky people who didn’t get to experience this ‘Pop Up’ exhibition, the artwork will be available to view and purchase online at artmosh.com.
