The Rip Curl girls will be taking to the slopes from 16th December to 1st April 2007.
Rip Curl, the Australian surf brand, have been mobilizing for 10 years to develop feminine involvement in glide sports. After the great success of the three previous editions of the Rip Curl Girls Tour (summer tour dedicated to surf initiations for girls only), Rip Curl has decided to apply the formula to winter.
This winter, Rip Curl has organized a freestyle snowboard and freeski initiations tour, for girls only (from 12 years old). The tour will stop in the twelve best european ski resorts (France, England, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic).
Every weekend, girls will have the opportunity to experience their first freestyle lesson on the slope. They will ride on an adapted snowpark and will have the opportunity to test their skills on special units particularly shaped for initiation : rails, box, halfpipe, kickers…
In addition to these lessons, given by qualified instructors, the Rip Curl Team Pros will be present to offer to these green riders demos and wise advice. They will be there to help not only absolute beginners but also those who have a medium or intermediate level.
There will also be various activities: testing ski and snow equipment with Apo Snowboards, DJ girls, game shows (with snowboards to win) hot chocolate at the end of the day, and workshops dedicated to increase public awareness of mountains protection with the Mountain Riders association and an evening party.
An explosive cocktail that will transform this new tour the absolute must this winter for girls!
