The unique Billabong Solo Chicas (Girls Only) surf tour came to an exciting end with more than 120 girls competing in Zarautz (Basque Country) for third and final stop of the circuit.
Sunny weather and fantastic waves offered perfect conditions for the last stop of the circuit , which included a national surfing competition, surfing lessons and BBQ’s. The girls chilled out in the evening to live music and a video night including exclusive footage from the day, followed by a Free As A Dog screening.
Competition was fierce on the surfing front, with all participants vying for the Billabong Solo Chicas title and the grand prize, others for the attractive gift bags and the free surfing lessons, courtesy of Billabong.
Miriam Imaz won the event and Estitxu Estremo and Lore Eizaguirre finished 2nd and 3rd respectively at the only all-girl surfing tour of Spain.
Mirka Solar from the Billabong team managed to take the Billabong Solo Chicas (three-event tour) crown for the second year running, Leticia Canales winning the Under 16 division and Ana Moreau winning the Under 14.
