Snow in September at Mission Beach Thanks to S3 Supergirl Jam

Day Full of Skate, Style and Snow Highlighted By Stellar Performances By Athletes and Musicians

The S3 Supergirl Jam, a unique and unprecedented all female action sports competition, brought together nearly 40 of the world’s top female athletes Sunday at Historic Belmont Park in Mission Beach, much to the delight of the throngs of action sports enthusiasts in attendance. It was the final part of the three-day Action Sports World Tour stop in San Diego.

The first-ever S3 champions were crowned in both Skateboard Street and Snowboard Rail Jams. 15-year-old Lacey Baker took top honors in Street Skate while four different athletes claimed one session apiece in the Snowboard Rail Jam.

Raewyn Reid won the first snowboard jam session, while Bev Vuilleumier captured the second. Leanne
Pelosi took top honors in the third session and Bryann Valaika won the fourth. In addition, Vuilleumier
earned Supergirl Supertrick honors for her 180 to 50-50 and then 180 out.

Some of the best female skateboarders and in-line skaters in the world also put on a demonstration on
the vert ramp, including 2007 X-Games skateboarding gold medalist Lyn-z Adams Hawkins and in-line
skater Fabiola DaSilva. The day was also full of entertainment and activities for fans of all ages,
including musical performances by Jupiter Rising and The Donnas, a Supergirl-inspired fashion show,
autograph signing sessions and a festival geared to young females.

Competition was fierce in street skate with the results up for grabs until the final jam session when Baker,
a native of the Southern California town of Covina, wowed the judges to finish with an overall score of
85.25. Native Californians also took second and third place, with Leticia Bufoni of Hollywood grabbing
the silver with a score 81.13 and Amy Caron of Huntington Beach the bronze with a 79.63.
The S3 Supergirl Jam will be televised nationally on CBS, Versus and Fuel TV as part of a broadcast
platform that reaches more than one billion households globally.

The 2007 LG Action Sports World Tour makes its next stop in Pomona, California on Saturday,
September 29 for the LG World Championships of Freestyle Motocross. The tour will conclude its U.S.
