With the summer sadly but truly gone for this year, here’s a little wrap up of the Surf Affinity camps, the we checked out ourselves as well.

After a summer of non-stop surf, sun and barbeque action on the beautiful sandy shores of south-west France, the Surf Affinity girls have packed up the tents and headed off to a snowy winter in the mountains. It was an epic autumn in France, with lovely clean waves and empty line-ups, a perfect end to an lovely Surf Affinity summer!
This was the second year of the girls-only camp, which was set up by a team of well-travelled and surf loving ladies. Their authentic, yet comfortable surf camp, perfectly located right next to the beach in Vieux Boucau, witnessed plenty of action this summer, with ladies of all ages dropping by to revel in the surfing life. The ‘lifestyle’ package catered for every ability and true surfer chick and instructor-extraordinaire, the O’Neill Surf Academy’s Ashleigh Bennetts, was on hand to perfect everyone’s technique and boost their confidence!
Hossegor and Biarritz are just a short drive away from the bustling surfer town of Vieux Boucau, and there were plenty of markets and evening events going on in the area all summer. The girls had plenty to occupy their free time, with massage and accupuncture from Hen Hao, to surf-specific yoga sessions from pro-snowboarder Caroline Beliard, all held on the beach to the sound of the lapping waves. Very relaxing!
Surf Affinity would like to thank everyone who stopped by this summer, therefore making it such a memorable one. Big thanks goes out to the girls at Nikita, Dakine, Les Ettes, Lush, and Nalu Beads for providing lots of goodies!
