Well done to all who made their way up to sunny Skeg for the ladies section of the Miniramp Champs last Saturday. Helena ‘Legz‘ held down some Long lines, which saw her storm into 1st place. She was all over the mini with tricks including a rock fakie on the extension, blunt fakie, shuv to nose stall, flip rock fakie, early grabs over the hip and her-ever trademark novelty drop-ins.

2nd placed Lois Pendlebury flowed around the ramp in style, with a 50.50 on the extension, a front-tail slide, front side disaster and lein to tail on the big 6ft section. She also landed back and frontside lips, back and frontside tail reverts and a frontside 270 out. Dani Mellor‘s tricks were as usual just ridiculously hard – and landed her a sweet 3rd place spot!! She basically reverted everything in her usual nonchalant style – it’s pretty much only the 3rd time she’s skated this year and look what comes of it… Becky Jacques landed a blunt pull in, a footplant fakie and a bs rock and roll on the jersey barrier extension. Emma Richardson skated in her usual aggressive determined style stomping out fs 5-0s like there was no tomorrow! She also nailed a fs tail slide, front and backside 50.50s, back smith fakie and k-grind fakie. Dani G (The Gallacher) was all over it and as usual not scared to go big with a front rock on the extension, front and back feebles fs 270 out on the 6ft.

A special well done has to go out to local lady Georgia Noble, as this was her first contest. She got stuck in from the off, learning tricks just before the contest and not being scared to skate the ramp with several others gnashing about at the same time – Georgia, look forward to seeing more of you in the future!
