Just a few more days until the Volvo X Over Ride hits Kitzsteinhorn. A broad starting field of international boarders and skiers are heading to Kaprun to show their skills on the slopes and celebrate their performance in the park at the legendary after parties.
The end to the winter season has drawn competitors from nine countries to take on the challenge in the Freeride Cross and the Slopestyle Contests. The slopestylers and freeriders will be rocking the glaciers from Friday 21 March to Monday 24 March, showcasing their style and skill during the days, then celebrating at Kaprun Castle in the evening.
On Saturday, the riders in the freeride cross will be competing, followed by the slopestyle in the snowpark on Sunday. Anyone feeling particularly energetic (or ambitious) can enter both contests in a bid to win the “Ruler of the Hill” title and a week at the Nalu Surf Camp in Portugal. Winners of individual categories can look forward to lots of freebies and a share of a prize pot totalling 9,000€.
Registration is limited to 80 starters for the Freeride Cross and only 60 for the Slopestyle. Sign up at www.x-over.at
