Pressure is starting to build up and I snap at my colleague and then I have a reality check. What’s the point?

I am leaving!

And it is about time I start my blog and get ready to start our* adventure.

I am swapping the office for the mountains in the beautiful resort of Morzine… perfect. After a great time in IT sales and saving a little stash (due to maintaining student standards) I am more than ready to focus on pushing my snowboarding skills, promote the sport and enjoy four whole months shredding the white stuff.

We have left the Carrera 4S behind and have replaced with a Car made for icy roads, friends and snowboards. We are replacing long and high pressured work hours with days spent in the fresh mountain air doing the sport we love. The boyfriend is a little concerned about loosing the routine and security but is now excited about the idea of having an adventure with a little risk.

Staying in my job for the New Year would have resulted in a generous pay rise and promotion but nothing could tempt me away from enjoying life to the max and following my passion. And thanks to Salomon and Animal they have encouraged me on my journey.

* Refers to the boyfriend who is also leaving an even more stressful job behind.

Plan: We start our New Year by driving out to Morzine; packing maybe a little stressful and I predict the boyfriend and I will have our first argument over this as he will want to take everything and it will not fit in the car.
