Just came back form a week of skydiving and base jumping in Spain with my boyfriend, very enjoyable with hot weather, sunshine, tapas and wine in addition to jumping! We did lots of free flying at Skydive Spain, a drop zone just outside of Seville, and then at the end of the trip I hooked up with my friend Francis. He lives 15 minutes from a 88 meter high chimney on the beach in Málaga which they’re just renovating. This means that there’s easy access, and the nicest thing is the landing, which is on the beach next to palm trees. A great contrast to the snow you find in the mountains in Norway now.
The winds were a bit funky when we got there, but I decided to climb it and see. Conditions were still not good at the top, so I waited a while because at that time in the morning the winds normally change direction. This happened after about ten minutes waiting, and in this process of changing winds there was a window of no wind, which was my luck! Check out the video I’ve edited from the trip, and you’ll notice me waiting:
The police were there when I landed, but they only smiled and asked questions about the jumping. Good thing they didn’t give us problems because we had a plane to catch!
