So I am busy planning this winter’s trips during the long dark evenings at home in North Wales and its going to be a good one!
Boxing Day I am heading out to France for the first in the Snowkite Master’s series in Serre Chevalier. I am soooooooo excited as I am driving out with a girlie friend and we are going to have some time for touring and freestyle training before the event! Wahoo!
Then beginning of February I am heading to Kenya for the 2009 MEAK Charity Kitesurf Extreme Cup at Pro Surf, Nyali Beach. It’s such an amazing event. Not only do we get to have so much fun doing downwinders, freestyle, big air, kicker comp and fire kiting, but we get to do it all in aid of the wonderful MEAK Charity!
To check out Pro Surf’s spot in Nyali go to www.prosurfkenya.com and to see the wonderful work MEAK does go to www.meak.org.
I am also so lucky to have a top class videographer coming to the competition with me. He or she will be one of six winners in the Trad Productions amateur film maker’s competition. They will be making a 12 minute video of my experiences at the competition which will be put together with the other five vid’s to make a DVD that will be premiered at the Birmingham NEC Outdoor Show on the 27th to 29th March 09.
If you are into your extreme sports film making and want to chance to come on one of the amazing trips got to www.tradfilms.com and check out the details. You better hurry though as entries have to be in by the 21st November 08!
