The next Nikita Chickita event will be coming to Europe from 5-6th April 2008. This fun girls-only slopestyle event is back for the second year running, opening up yet another opportunity for female shredders to take part and be in with a chance to win a year’s contract with Nikita as a fully fledged team member.

The contest will be taking place at Serfaus Park in Austria. There’s a special team of shapers who will be working hard to make the best course possible, maintaining it throughout the day. Should bad weather stop play, the contest will be held the following day.

Open to all female snowboarders, competitors can join womens or juniors categories, where 1-3 heats of 15-20 competitors will battle it out. Each rider gets two runs to prove their prowess on the powder, with the best score taken into consideration. The best 12 riders will then go on to compete in the finals, where each competitor will have four runs to make their mark and land a spot on the podium.

The three judges will be keeping their eyes peeled for style, versatility, technique and creativity when choosing the winners. The rider who does two, three or even four runs in the finals will get a higher overall mark from the eagle-eyed judges.

The prize money for women’s category is 1000 Euros for 1st, 750 for 2nd and 500 for 3rd, plus a coveted contract with the Nikita Team for the winner. Heaps of other freebies will be doled out during the day.

Saturday:
09:00-10:25 – Open training
10:25-10:30 – Reshape
10:30-12:30 – Qualifying heats (women and juniors combined)
12:30-13:00 – Lunch break + reshape
13:00-13:50 – Finals Juniors
13:50-14:00 – Reshape
14:00-15:30 – Finals Women
From 21:00 – Prize giving and after party shindig at local venue

There will also be the chance to ride with the Nikita Team. Shred to impress, this is your opportunity to get noticed!
