Oakley have set up a whole series of Women’s Camps to allow ladies to check out new sports without the pressure to perform or compete against the guys! The 2008 camps kick off this season with a Women’s Wakeboarding Camp near Hamburg, Germany.
The Oakley girls-only wakeboarding camp will give women the chance to try out wakeboarding for the first time, or improve their existing skills, with no pressure but lots of fun. There will be several Oakley pros and coaches on hand throughout the day, including Oakley pro wakeboarders Mari Sander, Eva Koch, Ginger Pfennigs and Aurie Brabänder, who will provide expert tuition, hints and tips. The pros will advise not only on technique but also on how to choose and buy equipment, read weather conditions and so on.
After training there will be various ways to relax your exhausted body, including massages, BBQs, parties and a screening of the brand new Oakley wakeboard movie ‘Push Process’.
The Oakley Women Wakeboarding Camp will take place from 22-25th May in Pinneberg, Northern Germany. Prices start at 119€, which includes accomodation in a huge tipi tent, training, catering, massages and a free Oakley goody bag. Register here!
If you don’t fancy a weekend of watersports, why not try your hand at the Oakley Women Mountainbike Camp in Livigno, Italy from 21st-24th August. Next to coaching by pro riders Karen Eller (GER, Race), Sari Jörgensen (SUI, Downhill) and Niki Gudex (AUS, Downhill, Cross Country) there will be a night ride, single trail adventure and much more!
