Quantum Yoga ‘Capricious Shiva’ master sequence released

Following the successful release of her book and DVD Quantum Yoga, Creating Your Ideal Practice from an Ocean of Possibilities, London based yoga teacher Lara Baumann, whose clients have included celebrities such as Gerard Butler, Bryan Adams, Russell Brand and Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm, unveils the next evolution of the Quantum Yoga series: the Quantum Master Sequence –Capricious Shiva – a new DVD available August, 2009.

The Quantum Method of Yoga was developed by Baumann to teach practitioners to spontaneously construct dynamic, customized sequences suited to each individual’s physical, mental and emotional needs, as well as time and space available.

The new Capricious Shiva Master Sequence represents Quantum Yoga’s most challenging composition yet – bringing the use of vinyasa (breath-synchronized movement) to another level, sustaining and deepening movement while increasing prana (vitality), integrity and grace. It includes powerful core work, deep stretches, strengthening exercises and advanced arm balances.

The sequence culminates in the pose Shiva Natarajasana, or “Dancing Shiva,” a posture that emulates Shiva in his cosmic dance of transcendence. This posture encapsulates the essential qualities cultivated by the Quantum Yoga series: an open heart, strong core, unwavering resolve, and a firm and balanced stance. Shiva Natarajasana is a demanding posture – so much so that it allows the practitioner to “impersonate transcendence” – and in that moment achieve perfection. Like the other Quantum Yoga sequences, the Capricious Shiva Master Sequence follows the Quantum grouping and sequencing laws and can therefore be used as a blueprint to which variations can be introduced.
