Seeds… not only a photo exhibition but a direct flight to “surf-land”. A trip to the world of photography.

You’ll feel like at home… An old leather sofa in a corner, old surfboards on painted walls, pictures drying on a string, wet paintings all around, one of the best world- shaper finishing to glass a board, a good old surf movie in the background… Anyway! You’ll need nothing else to feel good and appreciate the moment.

Yohan Colin and Jean Penninck, two French photographers, two friends in the real life, have the pleasure to display few of their works until the 30th of September in the basement of the Corezone shop in Biarritz. Pictures displayed are especially photographies of surfing, surfers like Robin Falxa, and above all female surfers: Pandora Decoster, Margaux Arramon- Tucoo and Amaya Gomis.

Indeed, the French female surfer Pandora Decoster, sponsorised Roxy, voluntarily accepted to take part to this “exciting experience”.

When we ask the two photographers the origins of the name “Seeds”, they both explain: “ ‘Seeds’ is born from this will to give the opportunity to artists to spend some time not only in a workshop, but more in a place of life and share. ‘Seeds’ cannot be easily explained actually. It is a concept that will live thanks to everyone coming there, it is a concept that will live through every seed that artist will put in it ».

Margaux Arramon- Tucoo, another female surfer is as well present on the pictures, sat on her new awesome board shaped by Daniel’s longboard*… Most of the pictures have been taken in the Basque Country in France, in early September, far from the shining weather of this last summer. The pictures truly illustrate this coming autumn, with soft colors and blue-green water. Orange stripes accidently here on the corner of a picture, sometimes a ‘burn-effect’ both make the picture real, sincere and… alive.

Yohan & Jean are photographers. Yeah, we know that. But above all, Yohan & Jean love what they do and prove it through their work. Fond of surf and life- lovers, their pictures reflect the intention that they put in it, this wish of displaying the true side of surfing.

Sincerity, simplicity, humility. Three words to describe this exhibition. Three words, never enough though, to let you enter this world. Their world.
